Daily Fantasy Football NFL 2017 Preseason Los Angeles Rams vs Oakland Raiders Top Picks for Fanduel & DraftKings
The Rams and the Raiders will do battle at O.co Coliseum in California on Saturday night. Both of these teams are no stranger to relocation and the Rams are just one year removed from moving from St. Louis to L.A. Meanwhile, the Raiders will be moving to Las Vegas in 2020. For now at least, they have a territorial rivalry. The Rams return to Los Angeles did not go that well in 2016. The team finished with a 4-12 record and in third place in the NFC West. They also managed to win just a single game at home in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. On the season, they were outscored by a total of 170 points, and lost their last seven games. Todd Gurley was extremely disappointing after his breakout rookie season. He will still be relied upon heavily in the upcoming year with Jarod Goff still adjusting to life as an everyday NFL quarterback with the team that has high hopes for him. In the 13-10 win over the Cowboys in the preseason opener, Gurley managed just two yards on four carries. Goff had the opening score of the game when he drove the team 33 yards and hit Robert Woods near the end zone. Woods would fumble the ball but Cooper Kupp fell on it for the score. Kupp would finish with the touchdown and two catches for 35 yards. Justin Davis led the way on the ground, going for 70 yards on nine carriers. His longest run was 32 yards and he averaged 7.8 carries on the night. Derek Carr and Marshawn Lynch both sat for week one of the 2017 preseason for the Raiders. Of course, Marshawn Lynch sitting during the national anthem drew more attention than anything that happened on the field during the game. Lynch was signed in the offseason after being brought out of early retirement, but it remains to be seen if the former Seahawk star will be able to return to the form of Beastmode’s past. Carr is coming back from a broken leg and will look to build on what was a promising season last year before it got derailed by injury. He will surely step back into the spotlight and be one of the games promising young QBs. Against the Cardinals, the backups got their chance to shine, but only managed 10 points in the 20-10 loss to Arizona. With Carr sitting, E.J. Manuel got the start for the Raiders and played the entire first half. He completed 10 of his 12 passes for 107 yards, but also suffered a nine-yard sack. Connor Cook took over in the second half and completed a 29-yard pass to John Crockett before Crockett would later run it in from one yard out. Cook finished 10 for 21 for 82 yards. Carr will see his first game action since breaking his leg and will look to get back into form, look for the Raiders to come out aggresively in this one.
