Daily Fantasy Football NFL 2017 Preseason Kansas City Chiefs vs Cincinnati Bengals Top Picks for Fanduel & DraftKings
The Cincinnati Bengals will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in week two of the NFL preseason Saturday night at Paul Brown Stadium. The Chiefs were defeated 27-17 by the 49ers last week, and the Bengals came away with a 23-12 win in their preseason opener versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Cincinnati Bengals scored two touchdowns in the third quarter in their 23-12 preseason victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. The Kansas City Chiefs conceded 18 points in the fourth quarter in their 27-17 preseason loss last week. Alex Smith saw brief action, completing four of his six passes for 48 yards. The veteran quarterback had a typical Alex Smith 2016 season, accumulating over 3500 passing yards with a 15:8 TD to INT ratio. The Chiefs got their first look at their 2017 first round pick Patrick Mahomes who had a solid showing. The Texas Tech standout was very accurate, connecting on 7 of his 9 passes for 49 yards with one touchdown. Mahomes tossed 41 TD’s with Texas Tech last season and is the Chiefs quarterback of the future once they finally get tired of Alex Smith’s mediocrity. Tyreek Hill also looked good in his limited action, bringing in two receptions for 46 yards on his two targets. The second year wide receiver had a strong rookie campaign, recording 593 receiving yards and notched six touchdowns. Hill has looked outstanding throughout training camp and is poised for a big season. He is also a threat in the running and special teams game. The Chiefs defense tallied three sacks and did not record an interception in last week’s loss. The Bengals on the other side of the field did give their offensive starters action early on in this one. Andy Dalton saw limited action in the first quarter but completed four of his five passes for 38 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Third string quarterback Jeff Driskel was very good, complting eight of his nine passes for 98 yards and one touchdown. He also added 36 yards on the ground. Joe Mixon got his first taste of the NFL and was solid, recording 31 rushing yards off six carries. The 2017 second round pick had a great collegiate career with Oklahoma, and he will see several touches per game once the regular season comes around. Cincinnati also features established backs Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill, however, Mixon does have the ability take over as the number one running back. Bernard and Hill were already in a battle for the number one job for a couple of seasons and adding a third competitor just makes a complicated situation even more complex. It remains to be seen who will be the goal line and volume rusher and until then it may be wise to stay clear of the Bengals backfield. A.J. Green made two catches for 21 yards and Brandon LaFell made one catch for 13 yards. The Bengals pass defense played well as they did not concede a touchdown in the air.
