Daily Fantasy Football NFL 2017 Preseason Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks 8/18/17 top Picks for Fanduel & DraftKings
Both these teams have began their preseason with victories. The Seahawks ran it up on the Los Angeles Chargers, 48-17. The Vikings, meanwhile, took down the Buffalo Bills, 17-10. Both teams will be looking to impove to 2-0 in the preseason as they will meet at Century Link Field in Seattle. Minnesota fought their way through a tough 2016 season after Teddy Bridgewater went down with a season ending injury, one that alsmot threatened his career as well. The resilint Vikings finished with a respectable .500 record. However the season can be seen as a disappointment after they started off 5-0. The Vikings could contend this season, but the quarterback situation is still wide open with Sam Bradford returning as the starter, Teddy Bridgewater should be returning from injury and even Case Keenum coming in as a backup. Keenum completed 11 of his 16 pass attempts for 121 yards. With the victory, Minnesota improved to 13-1 in the preseason under Mike Zimmer. Bradford was 5-of-7 for 35 yards but got sacked twice. Dalvin Cook had 13 yards on just five carries. Adrian Peterson is no longer in the fold in Minnesota so the team will look to find his replacement in short order. No one particularily impressed in the opener for the Vikings as they mustered only 3.1 yards per carry on 29 rushing attempts. Rodney Adams, a wide receiver, had their best run as he went for 14 yards on his only carry. On the other hand there is the Seattle Seahawks who seem destined for the playoffs yet again. Seattle was a Super Bowl Champion just three years ago. They probably should have been back-to-back champs if not for the infamous poor coaching decision by Pete Carroll to throw ther ball rather than hand it off to Marsawn Lynch in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter. The squad has yet to achieve the same standards in the previous two seasons, but they still have quarterback Russell Wilson at the helm, as well as the man who helped along the way from the sidelines, Pete Carroll. In their preseason opener, they took down the newly relocated Chargers, 48-17 on the road. Mike Davis ran the ball for 33 yards on eight carries. Kasen Williams had four receptions for 119 yards with a long of 34. Trevone Boykin threw 12 of his 15 attempts for completions and collected 189 yards with a touchdown and a pick. He also added 31 yards on the ground and a rushing TD. Austin Davis went 7 of 9 as well going for 108 yards, with 18 on the ground. Eddie Lacy and Thomas Rawls looked unspectacular in this one as they combined for only 15 yards on 6 carries (Lacy 4-10, Rawls 2-5). The defense allowed 322 yards, but just 72 on the grounds. Overall both the offence and defence had fairly efficient outings. The Seahawks will look to build on their explosive week one.
