Daily Fantasy Football NFL 2017 Preseason Washington Redskins vs Baltimore Ravens 8/10/17 top Picks for Fanduel & DraftKings
The Redskins and Ravens will take on each other in the battle of the nations capital. Both teams finished over .500 last season however there simply weren’t enough playoff spots for either team. While the teams can be viewed as territorial rivals, it is not the case on the field as the teams have only played each other 6 times in the regular season, each side taking 3 games a piece. Kirk Cousins isthe unquestioned leader of the redskins squad and he has impressed in his teure with the organization despite not inking a long term contract in the offseason. Cousins has thrown an impressive 72 TDs in his career but that comes with a rather unsightly 46 INTs as well. He will have to step it up this seasonif he hopes to be regarded as just another above average quarterback. Relaible TE Jordan Reed will not suit up for weekone of the preseason which will give more opportunities to second and third stringers in the contest. Reed caught for over 900 yards last season and 11 TDs. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder is also listed as questionable for the contest. Crowder is expected to take on a larger role in the offence this season as the team lost Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson in the offseason. to fill Crowder’s void in week one of the prerseason look for newly acquired Terrelle Pryor Sr. to step up and show his team what he can do. Pryor was stuck with the awful Cleveland Browns last season and even found himself take the reigns as the teams best option at quarterback on a couple of occasions. The former QB should be able to focus on catching the ball this season rather than throwing it as the Redskins have Cousins tossing the pigskin. Pryor has impressed in camp and should see some reps in week one. On the other side of the field there is the Baltimore Ravens whose major concern is the health of their starting QB Joe Flacco. Flacco will likely sit week one of the preseason out and that will give Ryan Mallet a chance to show the team what he is capable of if Flacco is not able to suit up for a prolonged period of time. It’s hard to remeber that this same Ravens team, for the most part won a superbowl a few years ago. They rely heavily on team defence and they have a medocre offence at best. While Flacco is expected to sit this game out, he may see some action in week two as the team tries to ease him back into game action after his injury in camp. The Ravens have newly acquired wide out Jeremy Maclin to work witht his season as well. While his time in Kansas City did not go all too well, Maclin will surely make a bid for the number one reciver title in Baltimore. Danny Woodhead is also the newest member of the Ravens offence. He got injured last season and missed most of the game the Chargers played. He should be back to full health this season and is a threat in the running a passing game. Another name to watch is Breshad Periiman. Perriman finished last season with 499 yards and 3 TDs and will likely get some targets for week one of the preseason. He could be poised for a bigger role in the Ravens passing game this year.
