Daily Fantasy Football NFL 2017 Preseason Minnesota Vikings vs Buffalo Bills 8/10/17 top Picks for Fanduel & DraftKings
The Minnesota Vikings will take a visit to Ralph Wilson Stadium to play the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night. Both of these team had very promising starts to their respective seasons last year however both collapsed and missed the playoffs. The Vikings started 5-0 and then went 3-8 the rest of the way while the Bills started 4-2 but finished the season a disappointing 7-9. Both will be looking to get off to good starts in 2017. It’s a new era in the Vikings backfield as the Vikings parted ways with Adrian Peterson in the offseason. The veteran power back was widely regarded as the face of the Vikings offence for many seasons. Minnesota did a lot of running work at Friday’s practice and featured backs Jerick McKinnon, Dalvin Cook, Bishop Sankey, and Terrell Newby. McKinnon was in action for a second week after missing time with a leg injury. It appears there is a team wide focus on getting or staying healthy throughout the Vikings locker room as many players are keeping an eye on what is happening around the league in regards to injuries. Without Peterson roaming the backfield there will likely be heavy competition for the starting half back job in Minnesota. One the Bills side of the field, Tyrod Taylor is doing his best to build chemistry with new wide receiver Zay Jones. Jones was the Bills 37th overall pick in the second round of the draft. He has been working primarily with the first team as the slot receiver in three receiver sets. Taylor has said that Jones is doing a great job of understanding the Bills plays and that him and Jones are on the same page. The recent siging of Anquan Boldin may put a damper on the hype surrounding Jones, but he is still being regarded heavily inside of the Bills organization. He ran a 4.45 40 yard dash at the combine, one of the best of any wide receiver. With Boldin not up to speed with the Bills plays and the ever growing uncertainty that surrounds Sammy Watkins, Jones could make a name for himself in the preseason. He should see a lot of reps in week one and has a chance to be a top receiver in the Bills passing game. Both sides have a lot of young talent and they should all see their fair share of action on Thursday night.
