Daily Fantasy Football NFL 2017 Preseason Jacksonville Jaguars vs New England Patriots 8/10/17 top Picks for Fanduel & DraftKings
The Jaguars and Pats will face eahc other at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass on Thursday night. The Patriots have dominated the Jags ever since their inception into the league. It goes back to the Jags second year in the league where they miraculously made it to the AFC Championship where they fell at the hands of the Patriots. The Patriots have won 10 of the lasrt 11 meeting between the two organizations, with the last defeat coming all the way back in 1999. the year the Jaguars made their second AFC championship, which also happens to be their last. The Jaguars will simply look to not absolutely suck this season. They have only won a combined 15 games over the last four seasons. Blake Bortles has been a huge disappointment, while he has had a few bright spots in his career, most come after games have already been put out of reach. Allen Robinson will look to match his breakout 2015 season where he managed 1400 yards and 14 TDs. In 2016 he saw those numbers almost literally cut in half at 883-7, despite only 7 less receptions. Doug Marrone will be the Jags coach for this season after being the interim for the final few games of the season in 2016. If he can turn around the Jags offence, both Bortles and Robinson can be in for much improved seasons. Chad Henne will likely see some snaps for the Jags in this game as the backup as well as third stringer Brandon Allen. There could be a battle between them as to who will be the teams backup heading into the season. The Patriots are fresh off one of the greatest comebacks in Superbowl history and are probably a lot of peoples pick to win it again this season. Tom Brady will have his trusty tight end Rob Gronkowski back this season after winning the superbowl with him on the sidelines. Oh yeah and some guy named Brandin Cooks came over from the Saints in the off season. Sources say he is pretty good, we all know Brady needs more help. Not. Tom Brady seems to have a gift to turn anybody into a superstar reciever (see Chris Hogan, who many people did not know existed before last playoffs). Hogan will likely sit this one out with a knee issue. Jimmy Garoppolo has struggled in training camp but he should see a healthy amount of snaps in this game along with third stringer Jacoby Brissett. Tom Brady will have many capable receivers to throw to this season in Julian Edelman, Gronk, Cooks and Hogan all expected to see the lions share of Tom Brady’s tosses. The team that was already scary good just got even better.
