i (22)Washington Nationals vs. Vance Worley

Worley vs. Cole went in the Marlins’ favor last week, but that is a small sample size. Based on Worley’s overall performance in 2017, it is hard to see him keeping the Nationals’ bats silent twice in succession. An in-form Washington club simply has too many hitters in fine form right now to be stymied once again. Harper and company have also fared extremely well at home of late, including against the Marlins. Miami is 3-8 in its last 11 on the road against winning opponents and 15-36 in its last 51 at Washington. The Nationals are 7-3 in their last 10 against losing opponents and 9-2 in their last 11 on Tuesdays. Don’t be surprised if those trends continue.

Players to Consider:

Bryce Harper 4800 (FD) 5300 (DK)

Daniel Murphy 3900 (FD) 5200 (DK)

Ryan Zimmerman 3400 (FD) 4500 (DK)

Anthony Rendon 3700 (FD) 4800 (DK)

i (16)Getting the nod for the White Sox in this one will be Derek Holland and he has gone 5-11 with a 5.27 ERa in 22 games (21 starts) on the year, including 0-2 with a 6.60 ERA in his last three starts and 2-6 with a 4.31 ERA in 10 starts here at home. Holland has gone 11-7 with a 4.02 ERa in 30 games (28 starts) during the month of August and he is 2-8 with a 4.75 ERA in 13 career starts in this park, while against the Astros he has gone 5-3 with a 4.50 ERA in 13 starts. The Astros just had some struggles at home and for most team, getting out on the road is a good thing as it gets them away from the pressures off home. That is good news for the Astros as they have been the best road team in the league at 38-15 and they have averaged 6.89 rpg in those games. That is even better news for them as they are taking on a team that has allowed 6.00 rpg over their last 27 games. They will also be taking on a pitcher in Derek Holland that is 0-4 with a 7.00 ERA in his last seven starts. He is 2-1 in his last five starts against Houston, but with a 6.00 ERA in those games. Houston is sending out Dallas Keuchel, who has gone 5-0 with a 2.66 ERA in seven road starts and he has a 2.67 ERA in his last five starts against the White Sox. This one sets up very nicely for a rout.

Players to Consider:

Yulieski Gurriel 3600 (FD) 4700 (DK)

Alex Bregman 3800 (FD) 4400 (DK)

Jose Altuve 4200 (FD) 5400 (DK)

Tyler White 2600 (FD) 2300 (DK)

i (1)Milwaukee Brewers vs. Adalberto Mejia

Opposing Matt Garza will be Adalberto Mejia, who has been pretty good in his rookie year for the Twins.  He’s only 4-5 and his ERA is 4.30 but he’s logged 17 starts and he’s been pretty reliable to go out there and keep them in most games.  You can’t say that about most 24-year old rookies.  The one thing he will have to keep an eye on are his walks.  He’s allowed 39 in just over 82 innings, almost one every other inning. Lately, Meija has been a little choppy.  The longest he has gone in his last four starts is 5.1 innings and he failed to finish five innings in two of those starts.  He’s gone 0-2 with three no decision during his last five starts, and a little bit of the shine of his great rookie year has started to wear off.

Players to Consider:

Ryan Braun 4100 (FD) 3900 (DK)

Travis Shaw 3300 (FD) 4200 (DK)

Jesus Aguilar 2300 (FD) 3700 (DK)

Hernan Perez 2500 (FD) 3900 (DK)
