Takedown Accuracy: 55.88%
Takedown Defense: 55%
Submission Avg: 1.33%

Who ya got?
Elliot is the winner of The Ultimate Fighter “Tournament of Champions” and received the UFC contract and the chance to fight Demetrious Johnson for the Flyweight Championship. Elliot is a solid fighter with good standup and ground game. He has previously fought in the UFC before losing 3 straight before getting cut by the promoter. Elliot has fought top level competition in the UFC and given them a good fight but was never able to get the victory. He’s better now than he was then. The problem is he’s fighting the #1 pound for pound fighter in “Mighty Mouse.” Is there a chance Elliot can get the upset and beat Johnson? Sure there is. Will it happen? I seriously doubt it. I can see Elliot manage to make it through the 5th round but not with a decision win. I’ll go Johnson with the decision win.

Joseph Benavidez (DK $9,000) vs Henry Cejudo (DK $7,200)

Joseph Benavidez

Henry Cejudo “The Messenger”

Striking Defense: 71.57%
Takedown Avg: 2.39%
Takedown Accuracy: 35.71%
Takedown Defense: 100%
Submission Avg: 0.24%

Who ya got?
These two HATE each other. That doesn’t always mean it’s going to be a good fight but I have a feeling this is going to be a good one. Cejudo is an olympic gold medal winning wrestler with good striking skills. His only loss is to the current champ, “Mighty Mouse.” Benavidez is a really good all around fighter that should give Cejudo all he can handle. I think this fight will go all 3 rounds. The question is who scores enough points to get the decision win? Benavidez’s wrestling/grappling should be good enough to hang with Cejudo and keep the fight standing. MMA wrestling and Olympic wrestling are different…obviously. Benevidez should get the score the points to win a very close decision.

Jake Ellenberger (DK $7,400) vs Jorge Masvidal (DK $8,800)

Significant Strikes Absorbed per Min: 4.4
Striking Defense: 64.29%
Takedown Avg: 0%
Takedown Accuracy: 0%
Takedown Defense: 100%
Submission Avg: 0%

Who ya got?
Someone could be going to sleep in this one. Both fighters have KO power and have come out guns blazing and leave themselves open to catch one on the button. This could be one of those fights where both guys respect the others striking and try not to get caught leading to a decision. Either guy has the upside to get you some big points in your lineup. I’m going with Cutelaba for the win in this one.

Sara McMann (DK $8,400) vs Alexis Davis (DK $7,800)

Sara McMann
Record: 9-3-0

Alexis Davis

Striking Defense: 51.87%
Takedown Avg: 0.96%
Takedown Accuracy: 38.46%
Takedown Defense: 50%
Submission Avg: 0.77%

Who ya got?
Sara McMann is a former olympic silver medal wrestler. McMann has lost to the top level fighters in the devision but is coming off a decision win over Jessica Eye who is a legit fighter. Alexis Davis is a black belt in both Brazilian and Japanese Jujitsu. She hasn’t fought in over a year and could have some octagon dust to shake. This fight probably goes to decision with McMann getting a close decision win.

Brandon Moreno (DK $8,500) vs Ryan Benoit (DK $7,700)

Brandon Moreno “The Assassin Baby”
Record: 12-3-0
Weight Class: Flyweight 125lbs

Ryan Benoit “Baby Face”

Height: 5’ 5”
Reach: 68”
Significant Strikes Landed per Min: 2.32
Accuracy: 35.94%
Significant Strikes Absorbed per Min: 2.97
Striking Defense: 58.68%
Takedown Avg: 0.45%
Takedown Accuracy: 33.33%
Takedown Defense: 57.89%
Submission Avg: 0.45%

Who ya got?
Moreno was the first guy to lose on the Ultimate Fighter Tournament of Champions this year. However he bounced back with a win on over Louis Smolka at UFC Fight Night in October where he won “Performance of the Night” honors for a 1st round submission. Benoit has KO power but his last two losses were by submission. Moreno has the ground game to capitalize. Benoit could catch Moreno and put “The Assassin Baby” down for a nap…see what I did there? I’m going with Moreno by decision.
