Cam Newton ( FANDUEL $8,500 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $7,200 ) ( Opponent- ARI )
Cam scored the most fantasy points this season by a wide margin, is the league’s MVP and has all his weapons healthy. projects as the highest-scoring QB option on the slate, Vegas projections for this game are 47.5 O/U and The Panthers have a team total of 25.3. Newton led the NFL with 45 total TDs, 35 of them are passing TDs and 10 rushing. He has the most TD upside of any quarterback on the slate facing the Cardinals on Sunday January 23rd 2016. I’m always willing to take shots on a QB capable of running for multiple scores and keep in mind cam is playing at home.
Carson Palmer ( FANDUEL $7,700 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $6,800 ) ( Opponent- CAR )
Palmer collected his first career postseason victory Saturday when the Cardinals beat the visiting Green Bay Packers in overtime, 26-20.it took him13 seasons to find postseason success. Cam Newton projects to score the most fantasy points so what does Palmer has to offer. Carson Palmer have the most upside relative to his cost, as he comes at a discount to Newton. Coming off a hot performance last week, I think Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald will be one of the highest owned stacks of the weekend. However, many others people may agree that it is not a great matchup, which can bring the ownership down.
Tom Brady ( FANDUEL $8,100 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $7,400 ) ( Opponent- DEN )
That would be 10 conference championships in 14 seasons that Brady has been the Patriots’ starter. The Patriots’ team total is 23.5 second highest on the slate. He wasn’t highly owned last week, i guess the Chiefs defense scared usfrom picking Brady, Denver’s defense is stout, but Brady was able to post 280 passing yards and three TDs on the Broncos back in Week 12, and that was without the services of Julian Edelman. Do you remember what Big Ben did to Denver defense in week 15 ?!!
Peyton Manning ( FANDUEL $6,700 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $5,500 ) ( Opponent- NE )
This is not the Manning we will remember as one of the game’s greatest. Manning should be viewed as a punt play that can help you spend on studs at other positions. Last week the windy conditions helped Denver to rely on their defense and rushing attack to grind out a win. The Patriots, who Manning did not suit up against in a Week 12 victory, will come town next week, with the right to go to the Super Bowl on the line. New England defense ranks 13th in pass defense DVOA. He can’t finish his drives and that’s why Brandon Mcmanus always have great games when Manning is playing. My verdict: FADE
David Johnson ( FANDUEL $8,000 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $6,500 ) ( Opponent- CAR )
The Cardinals ran for just 40 yards against the Packers, a 2.1 yards-per-carry average, compared with 135 rushing yards for the Packers, a 6.1-per-carry average.Running back David Johnson finished Saturday’s game with 35 yards on 15 carries. Coach Bruce Arians says that wasn’t Johnson’s fault. Arians said the Cardinals offensive line failed to open many holes. Johnson continues to see a lot of touches, In six games since taking over the starting role, he is averaging 21.3 touches for 122.7 yards and 0.8 TDs. The only upside Johnson has in this game his passing game. He is averaging 4.2 receptions per game over his last five games. Carolina defense ranks 6th in rush defense DVOA. I only like him on DRAFTKINGS for his price but not on FANDUEL.
Jonathan Stewart ( FANDUEL $7,000 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $5,900 ) ( Opponent- ARI )
The eight-year veteran out of Oregon is having one of the best seasons of his career, and his six rushing touchdowns are his most since 2009. I rank him as #1 running back for this slate.I love his price on FANDUEL and DRAFTKINGS He had 20 plus touches in nine consecutive games. This game projected to be in Stewart’s favor, as the Panthers are home favorites. In a previous playoff game the Panthers ran for 188 yards, and the Cardinals totaled just 27. the Cardinals Both offensive and defensive players said its imperative that doesn’t happen again.
C.J. Anderson ( FANDUEL $6,300 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $4,400 ) ( Opponent- NE )
I was asked on Twitter last week ( Anderson or Hillman ) my answer was Anderson, He has more upside than hillman and Denver normally goes to him for the goal line TDs and that’s excatly what happened last week. He turned his 17 touches into 83 yards and a score while Ronnie Hillman managed only 38 scoreless yards on his 16 touches. Anderson has now scored a TD in three straight games, with four carries inside the 5-yard line compared to Ronnie Hillman. Anderson had his best game of the season with 113 rushing yards and two TDs when these teams met in Week 12 but Bill Belichick may scheme to limit Anderson after his previous success.
James White ( FANDUEL $6,400 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $4,600 ) ( Opponent- DEN )
In week 12 when New England played Denver they repeatedly put their RBs in positions where they would be matched up with linebackers to exploit Denver’s man coverage. in that day Brandon Bolden had a great game finishing with four catches for 83 yards with one TD, But right now James White has become New England’s main threat out of the backfield. I love his upside and i hate his limited catches, He doesn’t carry the ball that much but he could get his value with one passing TD. White is averaging five catches, 59 yards, and 0.5 TDs. During the regular season, the Broncos allowed the eighth most receptions in the NFL to running backs.
Julian Edelman ( FANDUEL $7,800 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $7,500 ) ( Opponent- DEN )
He is Tom Brady’s number one target. Edelman is the top play at WR based on his target volume 10.4 targets per game, The denver defense might scares you from playing Edelman but let me remind you with week 15 when Big Ben and antonio Brown killed that defense.Last week Edelman 16 targets ten catches that turned into 100 yards. He is my top Wide Reciever this week, I can see him with finishing the game with 95 yards and one touchdown.
Larry Fitzgerald ( FANDUEL $8,000 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $6,900 ) ( Opponent- CAR )
Fitzgerald leads Arizona in red zone targets this season with 21 targets. Very safe to play him this week and don’t get scared of Josh Norman matchup because I don’t think we’re going to see this matchup very much. Fitzgerald plays more than half the time in the slot, and Norman plays only outside. Norman didn’t follow Odell Beckham Jr. when he moved inside. Ditto with Julio Jones. There’s no indication that’s going to change this week against Fitzgerald, It is going to be Michael Floyd against Norman.
John Brown ( FANDUEL $6,500 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $5,200 ) ( Opponent- CAR )
I love his match up this week. Josh Norman will cover Michael Floyd and Fitzgerald will get covered by Cortland Finnegan, That will leave Brown matched up with Robert McClain, Now!! the good news for John Brown, McClain allowed seven catches on 14 targets for 63 yards and a touchdown against the Seahawks. Brown piled up over 1,000 receiving yards this season and was second on the team in red zone targets with his 19 targets. I love his price on FANDUEL and DRAFTKINGS. I can see him this week with 78 yards and one touchdown or maybe two.
Emmanuel Sanders ( FANDUEL $7,400 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $6,300 ) ( Opponent- NE )
Sanders and Thomas. The two tied for the team lead with eight targets each, but Sanders five catches and the 85 yards, outperformed Thomas. Sanders also gashed the Patriots for six catches and 113 yards back in Week 12’s overtime win. Thomas, meanwhile, so past performances would seem to make Sanders the favorite target this week. If Manning could get it going this week then its likely to see Emmanuel Sanders producing a big play downfield.
Greg Olsen ( FANDUEL $7,000 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $7,100 ) ( Opponent- ARI )
He is my Top Tight End this week. Olsen finished with six receptions on six targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in the divisional round against Seattle, and there’s little reason to think he won’t lead the team in targets again this Sunday. The obvious caveat here is that Olsen, like his New England counterpart Rob Gronkowski, will be highly owned. Olsen is averaging a strong 4.9 catches for 69.5 yards and 0.5 TDs this season and he is the top dollar-for-dollar play at the position.
Rob Gronkowski ( FANDUEL $8,900 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $7,600 ) ( Opponent- DEN )
He looked very healthy last week against the Chiefs, so no more worries about Gronk’s knee. Chiefs are the top ranked defense against TEs and Gronk went for a 7-83-2 line on eight targets. The Broncos defense is much easier and they are ranked 23rd in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to TEs. He had a great game in week 12 against Denver before he got injured in that game, he exited the game due to his injury.
Owen Daniels ( FANDUEL $5,000 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $2,300 ) ( Opponent- NE )
Outside of Sanders and Thomas it’s hard to find a solid contrarian play, but Daniels is usually good for three-to-five targets per game. Daniels is the third ranked TE on the slate strictly by default, as he is a larger part of Denver’s offense than any TE in the Arizona offense.
New England Patriots ( FANDUEL $4,600 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $3,100 ) VS DEN
New England’s defense faces easily the softest offensive matchup on the slate against Peyton Manning. This season, Manning has thrown 17 interceptions in only 11 games. New England is a three-point road favorite and Denver’s team total 20.5 is the lowest of the four teams in action.
Carolina Panthers ( FANDUEL $5,100 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $3,500 ) VS ARI
On a large slate, the Panthers wouldn’t normally be in play against an offense as explosive as the Cardinals 4th in offensive DVOA. However, the Panthers are the only team on the slate with the distinction of being home favorites, which is the ideal scenario for a fantasy defense.
Denver Broncos ( FANDUEL $4,800 ) ( DRAFTKINGS $3,300 ) VS NE
The third-ranked defense comes down to the Broncos and the Cardinals. The Broncos get the edge because they are at home and facing the third-ranked scoring offense rather than the top scoring offense.
